Privacy Policy

Overview

MH Info respects your privacy and treats personal information collected through this site in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This page describes what we collect, why we collect it, how long we retain it, and the rights you have over it. We aim to keep the information collected to the minimum needed to run an editorial consumer-payment portal.

Information we collect

MH Info collects only two categories of personal information. First, information you provide when you write to us: your name, email address and the content of your message. Second, technical information collected automatically when your browser visits the site: your IP address, general geographic region derived from that address, the browser and operating system you used, the pages you visited, and the referring page. We do not collect payment information, account credentials, PayID handles, banking details or health information.

How we use it

Contact information is used solely to reply to the message you sent and to keep a record of the correspondence for future reference. Technical browsing information is used in aggregate to understand which pages readers find useful, to detect and prevent site abuse, and to keep the site running smoothly. We do not build individual reader profiles or attempt to identify individual visitors from the browsing data.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses a minimal set of essential cookies for basic functionality (session state, cookie-consent choice) and privacy-preserving aggregate analytics that record page views without identifying individual visitors. We do not use behavioural advertising cookies, tracking pixels from social networks, or cross-site identifiers. See the separate cookies notice linked in the footer for the full list.

Sharing your information

MH Info does not sell personal information. We do not share it with gambling operators, affiliate networks or advertisers. Personal information collected through the contact form is not disclosed to any third party unless one of the following applies: you have given explicit consent, disclosure is required by an Australian court order, or disclosure is required to prevent an imminent threat to health or safety.

Storage and security

Contact-form correspondence is stored on business email systems located in Australia and, for redundancy, in a European data centre operated by an APP-compliant provider. Access is limited to the editor. Technical logs are stored on the site's hosting infrastructure, which uses encryption in transit and at rest. Reasonable steps are taken to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, but no system is guaranteed secure and MH Info cannot warrant absolute security.

Retention

Contact-form correspondence is retained for as long as is reasonably useful for editorial follow-up, generally between one and three years, and then deleted. Aggregate browsing analytics are retained for up to twelve months in identifiable form, then aggregated further and retained indefinitely in a form that does not identify individual visitors.

Your rights under the APPs

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to request access to the personal information MH Info holds about you and to request that inaccurate information be corrected. To exercise those rights, email [email protected] with the request and enough information for us to identify the relevant records. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) about our handling of your personal information. We would prefer to try to resolve any concern with you first, but if that does not achieve a satisfactory outcome, the OAIC is the appropriate external body.

Children

MH Info is written for adult readers and no part of the site is directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the site, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

MH Info may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to how we handle information or updates to the Australian Privacy Principles. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "last updated" date. The current version of the policy always lives at this URL.
